Connections design, detail, fabrication, in-house shot blasting and painting, stairs and on-site erection.
With 70 miles of shelving and measuring the equivalent of 39 football pitches, we were happy to provide the structural steelwork, connections design and detail for this refurbished Co-Operative distribution centre in Lea Green, St. Helens.
Measuring 579,000 square feet, and serving over 1000 Co-Op food outlets in the Northwest, we were able to offer our clients in-house shotblasting and painting for the warehouse which houses ambient, chilled and frozen goods. We also supplied our steelwork with the client’s requirement of 2 hours fire protection, which we applied off-site to minimise interruption to the live environment.
As this was a working distribution centre, minimal disruption was critical, especially as we were fabricating and erecting new divisional walls with steel beams upto 15 metres long.
