Situated on the site of the former Pandon Dean Corn Warehouse, this modern block of student accommodation houses 514 students in a mixture of studio and cluster apartments.
From full design to on-site erection, this was a challenging project for us – it was all about location, location, location. Bound on three sides by existing buildings and adjacent to a live railway, delivering with minimal disruption was all important. Unusually, the building had more storeys on one side than the other…13 to the north east and 9 on the south west.
Still, it was a great project as we were able to offer our client an end-to-end solution, right through to the decking and pre-cast concrete stairs, and all completed in just 30 weeks on-site.
