Henry Smith (C/E) Ltd have worked at the Urenco uranium enrichment site over a number of years and as the largest of the Cheshire site’s 3 plants, E23 contributes 60% of their enrichment capacity.
Of course, we had to have the relevant clearances for working on-site and over this 3 phase, £3.7 million total development, we provided the full structural design, detail and fabrication of 3,100 tonnes of steel.
The site began operation in 1996, and we’ve gained valuable experience working in the nuclear industry helping them expand their site to the operation it is today.
